İsmail Dönmez was born in 1982 in İskenderun, Hatay. He graduated from İzmir Atatürk High School and earned his degree in Economics from Bilkent University. He began his professional career in 2005 as a Commercial Analyst at İçtaş Energy. Over the years, he has held various roles within the company, specializing in business development, energy trading, portfolio management, and regulatory affairs.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he has been actively involved in various energy sector NGOs, including the World Energy Council, the Energy Traders Association, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and the Electricity Producers Association. He currently serves as the Head of the Energy Group within IC Group Companies.
