As İbrahim Çeçen Investment Holding (IC Holding), we are proud to be one of Turkey's most established investment holdings today, having embarked on this journey in 1969. Our adventure, which began with investments in the construction sector, continues in the fields of energy production and distribution, infrastructure management, tourism, and industry. We provide services that meet the highest expectations of our stakeholders in different regions of the world. With over 50 years of accumulated knowledge and experience, we aim to rank higher among global players as a frequently mentioned brand in international markets, and we conduct all our operations in this direction.Climate change, rapidly evolving technology, and the ongoing impacts of a pandemic that we have yet to fully overcome are diversifying the risks that require our focus, while simultaneously highlighting the importance and necessity of adopting sustainability as a business practice more and more each day. On the other hand, we see that the issue of insufficient action against the climate crisis still ranks high as a risk factor in the Global Risk Report published in January 2022. At such a turning point, we at IC Holding act with a sense of corporate citizenship and shape our business practices and future strategies in light of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are based on the principle of "leaving no one behind," to create a sustainable world.
The concept of sustainability requires a holistic approach, which is critical for organizations as they shape their strategies and activities. It is essential for them to have a multi-disciplinary perspective and to work in coordination with their stakeholders. In this regard, at IC Holding, we draw inspiration from stakeholders who share our perspective and carry a similar mission. In our operations, which we conduct without overlooking our sensitivity towards the environment and future generations, we integrate the expectations of our stakeholders into our business processes and collaborate with them for a sustainable future.
Throughout our sustainability journey, we place significant emphasis on social responsibility to create positive value in the regions where we operate. The IC İbrahim Çeçen Foundation (IC Foundation) stands as the highest executor of the initiatives we undertake in this context. After spending my educational life dreaming of supporting young people who, like me, faced various challenges in their studies to become successful business people, I established the IC Foundation in 2004. Today, the foundation represents the realized and fruitful embodiment of this dream. Thanks to the foundation, the joy of providing scholarships to over 12,000 needy and successful university students over 18 years and creating a strong chain of goodwill is truly priceless for me.
